Black Hills
A ride I took to the Black Hills retracing the route taken by Robert Persig and his son. The R60 was owned by John Sutherland who rode with Persig during the writing of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance. Elderly gentleman showing photos to my friend is John. My friend continued on to California and I headed home to Toronto from the Hills. Just didn't have the time to keep going.

This video is driving in South Dakota on US Highway 85 south in to the Black Hills to the the historical towns of Deadwood, Central City, and Lead. You can see the Deadwood historical district, in including Hotels and Casinos on Main Street.
Then south on US Highway 385, past Pactola Reservoir. West On US Highway 16 to the Wyoming State line, ending with a sunset over Wyoming.

'Sporty' 650 Burgman scooter ride, Black Hills, SD.
2007 Suzuki 650 Burgman scooter running northbound on 'Neck Yoke Road' (thanks for the correction) in the Black Hills SD, just south of Rapd City. 11:30AM 11-16-2007. The speedometer is reading in MPH, and the transmission is in 'auto' mode the entire run. There is a lot of wind noise from the camera being mounted close to the windshield lip, which is cut 4 inches shorter than the stock height.

My friends and I are in the US working on a harvest crew. We had a couple of days off in South Dakota so we rented the bikes from Rapid City Harley Davidson.

Back to the Black Hills
My wife and her sister grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and they love to go back and visit Spearfish Canyon. I went with them this time and enjoyed the crisp fall weather and a walk to Roughlock Falls.
