DIY Motorcycle camera mount Test video.
(warning! turn down your speakers) I just finished scratch building a camera mount for my motorcycle. (it can now be seen in Instructables.com) It will hold any camera or small videocamera that has the standard mounting screw. This was my very first test run with the mount. It worked extremely well, but next time I will cover the mic with some foam. That air noise is killer!

DIY Motorcycle camera mount Test #2
This is my second test of the camera mount I built (which can be seen on Instructables.com) Per a few requests I pointed the camera reward this time. I used some foam tape over the camera mic, and although it cut down on wind noise significantly, I think I should be able to find something better. I also tried it with a passenger riding. There's still enough room for a foot!

My Camera Mount YZF 600R Tank Mount Camera
This is a video showing how I mount my video camera for taking video while I ride. My camera is a Kodak V803. It takes video at a max of 640x480 30FPS and supports unlimited length download (limited to memory only). It support SDHC (64GB max card). The mount is a police window mount (suction) that will hold a camera up to 4lbs. My camera only weighs a few ounces. I don't have experience with a heavy camera. And about scratches on the tank... I don't have ANY.

motorcycle camera mount test
Sorry, no wheelies, stoppies, endos, seat standing, handlebar sitting or burnouts. Not even your everyday simple superman seat-grab barrel roll. Just trying out the mount. As soon as I can get a canyon run (and the huevos to lean wayyy over) I'll get some better video.

Liberty Rd Ride Motorcycle Quick Stop
Here is a video that was taken after mounting my new Flip video camera on my Goldwing. My wife and I were traveling together when his jerk pulled in front of us to get some cheap gas. Of course, he did not see us traveling at him at 35 mph. The quick stop is at the end of the video.

I have tried using two front mounted cameras, one on the motorcycle, the other on the helmet, just to see if I can get a different perspective on what you can see.
