Balancing a motorcycle tire
Balancing the tire after changing it. Every rim and tire has a heavy and light spot; once those are identified balancing weights can be put on to counter the heavy side of the rim. The additional step is taken here to tape the tire to the rim, which helps ensure that at speed the weights are not thrown off.
